Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 13102:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst.
Location of mineral deposit: Pelham, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.
Description: Several colorless quartz crystals with second generation pink amethyst quartz crystal 15 mm long overgrown on top. From an old locality listed in Dana's Catalogue of American Mineral Localities (1892). No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 30x20x14 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-20 mm.
Price: $18 (plus shipping).
