Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 13205:

Minerals Species: Pyrite.
Location of mineral deposit: Carlton Quarry, Chester, Windsor County, Vermont.
Description: Lustrous yellow-metallic cubic pyrite crystal with no matrix. These pyrite crystals occur in talc which was the mineral mined at this quarry and the pyrite crystals were considered impurities. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Ex. Magill collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 14x12x11 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 14 mm
Price: $12 (plus shipping).
