Minerals Species: Rutile.
Location of mineral deposit: Graves Mountain, Lincoln County, Georgia.
Description: Large crystals of dark red rutile with minor matrix on the bottom. The rutile crystals have smooth, mirror-like faces and show complex twinning especially in the terminations. The red color is quite distinct. Excellent specimen with few imperfections. Ex. Ed Hamlin; ex.Evan Jones; ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #117.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x4.5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-4 cm.
