Minerals Species: Elbaite var. Rubellite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: (Muiane), Mozambique.
Description: Large slice of transparent ruby-red rubellite tourmaline, the red variety of the mineral species elbaite, with a thin green outer rind. The slice was polished on one side. This is an extraordinary specimen notable for it's size and completeness. No damage. Collected in the 1970s.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 12x11x0.8 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 8 mm thick slice.
Price: $2400 net (plus shipping).
