Minerals Species: Malachite with Chrysocolla.
Location of mineral deposit: Mashamba Mine, Shaba Copper Belt, Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire).
Description: Thin slab from a malachite stalactite polished on both sides to highlight the concentric growth layers of varying colors. Note this specimen has an outer layer of blue chrysocolla. The crystallization pattern is complex and unusual. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x.5 cm.
