Minerals Species: Spodumene var. Kunzite.
Location of mineral deposit: Nuristan, Laghman Province, Afghanistan.
Description: Four interconnected doubly-terminated transparent pink spodumene crystals (gem variety Kunzite) with striated prism faces and chisel-shaped terminations. The kunzite fluoresces violet under UV illumination. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few edges show minute nicks upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 65x20x9 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 27-63 mm.
Price: $225 (plus shipping).
