Minerals Species: Spodumene var. Kunzite.
Location of mineral deposit: Nuristan, Laghman Province, Afghanistan.
Description: Doubly-terminated violet-pink spodumene crystal. The pink color is called kunzite in the gem business. The upper termination has three broad terminations, while the lower termination has many smaller parallel crystal faces. One rear edge has a contact.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 58x22x7 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 47-58 mm.
Price: $300 (plus shipping).
