Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst Flower.
Location of mineral deposit: Alto Uruguai, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Description: Large thin fan-shaped formation of pale to purple amethyst quartz crystals. These formations are commonly called Amethyst Flowers because of their resemblance to flowers. This was restored: two plates joined together with no visible glue. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 19x17x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-40 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
