Minerals Species: Elbaite var. Rubellite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: Pala District, San Diego County, California.
Description: Doubly-terminated translucent rubellite tourmaline crystal, the pink gem variety of elbaite, with no matrix attached. The rubellite crystal has a flat pinacoid termination with secondary edge faces on one end. One termination has locality inked in white. The termination of the crystal is chipped. Ex. John Albanese (1898-1969), ex. John Albanese, Jr..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 25x17x16 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 25 mm.
Price: $175 (plus shipping).
