Minerals Species: Sturmanite on Hematite with Celestine.
Location of mineral deposit: N'Chwaning Mine, Kuruman District, North Cape Province, South Africa.
Description: Elongated plate of translucent yellow sturmanite crystals up to 12 mm long intergrown with crystallized black (specular) hematite. One end has a spray of colorless celestine (celestite) crystals up to 10 mm. No damage. Ex. Jim Minette (1936-2002).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 14x7x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-12 mm.
Price: $350 (plus shipping).
