Minerals Species: Barite.
Location of mineral deposit: Aouam, 25 km northeast of Khenifra, Morocco.
Description: Large glassy crystals of colorless transparent barite with chisel-shaped terminations and minor limonite staining in some crevices between the barite crystals. See article: Tucson Show Report for 1994 in Mineral News v.10 #3. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x5x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-5 cm.
Price: $165 (plus shipping).
