Minerals Species: Phosgenite on Galena.
Location of mineral deposit: Monteponi Mine, Iglesias, Sardinia, Italy.
Description: Transparent yellow phosgenite crystals in a small cavity in gray metallic galena. There are two phosgenite crystals, separated by a 2 mm thick section of another phosgenite crystal (hard to photograph). The phosgenite fluoresces under UV illumination. The termination of the crystal is chipped.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x6x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 7-20 mm.
Price: $350 (plus shipping).
