Minerals Species: Andradite-Grossular Garnet.
Location of mineral deposit: Trantimou, Kayes Region, Mali.
Description: Double-sided specimen of lustrous translucent brown-black andradite-grossular (exact species t.b.d.) garnet crystals up to 14 mm on limonite-stained matrix. The garnet crystals are dodecahedral form with trapezohedral edge faces. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x4.5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-14 mm.
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
