Location of mineral deposit: Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois.
Description: Sugary white barite microcrystalline coating on scalenohedral colorless translucent calcite crystals up to 8 mm long (exposed on the edges only) over a core of dark purple fluorite. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x4x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 8 mm.
