Minerals Species: Witherite* and Alstonite*. (*From the TYPE LOCALITY where this mineral was first described.)
Location of mineral deposit: Brownley Hill Mine, Alston Moor District, Cumbria, England.
Description: Translucent gray witherite crystals up to 18 mm across perched on a domed formation of massive witherite with translucent colorless scalenohedral alstonite crystals up to 10 mm long. The bottom is hollowed by a solution cavity. No damage. Ex. Aberdeen University; Gordon collection #6977.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9.5x6x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-18 mm.
Price: $450 net (plus shipping).
