Minerals Species: Quartz var. Rose and Smoky.
Location of mineral deposit: Taquaral, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Light-colored smoky quartz core overgrown with second generation rose quartz crystals up to 10 mm long, topped with a third generation of lustrous light-colored smoky quartz crystals up to 15 mm. Rose quartz rarely forms crystals for some unknown reason. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few edges show minute nicks upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x6x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-15 mm.
Price: $195 (plus shipping).
