Minerals Species: Diopside.
Location of mineral deposit: Alchuri, Shigar Valley, northeast of Skardu, Pakistan.
Description: Large single crystal of translucent green diopside with no matrix attached. The diopside prism faces are smooth and lustrous, the termination faces are naturally etched. No damage to the crystals on the front of the specimen, but the rear shows minor damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x1.5x1.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 40 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
