Minerals Species: Andradite-Grossular Garnet.
Location of mineral deposit: Trantimou, Kayes Region, Mali.
Description: Large crystal of brown-black andradite-grossular garnet 36 mm across with a group of smaller garnet crystals on the bottom. This cluster sits upright nicely without additional support. Testing is required to determine the exact garnet species. The crystal edges show minor chipping and wear.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x4x4cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-36 mm.
Price: $90 (plus shipping).
