Minerals Species: Calcite with Siderite.
Location of mineral deposit: Government Springs Road, east of Colona, Montrose County, Colorado.
Description: Early generation of translucent brown calcite overgrown with a second generation of colorless transparent calcite crystals with small hemispheres of brown siderite. The colorless calcite crystals are complex, irregular form with textured crystal faces. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x6x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-15 mm.
Price: $38 (plus shipping).
