Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 40018:

Minerals Species: Hematite.
Location of mineral deposit: Arzanah Island (Omar Arzanah), 180 km WNW of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Description: Doubly-terminated single crystal of dark metallic hematite with no matrix attached. One termination has a concave depressions, possibly where it was intergrown with another mineral that dissolved away. The faces have a green-pink iridescence. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 18x9x7 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 18 mm.
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
