Minerals Species: Beryl var. Aquamarine.
Location of mineral deposit: Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Baltistan, Pakistan.
Description: Large crystal of transparent aquamarine beryl with no matrix attached. The aquamarine crystal has clean, glassy crystal faces and flat pinacoid termination with an etched crystallization pattern. Internally are chatoyant silky zones. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few edges show minute nicks upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x3x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 9 cm.
Price: $2250 net (plus shipping).
