Minerals Species: Beryl var. Aquamarine.
Location of mineral deposit: Shigar valley, north of Skardu, Gilgit, Pakistan.
Description: Transparent aquamarine beryl crystal with glassy crystal faces and flat pinacoid termination. Note the internal phantom zone composed of thin, parallel tubes that resulted from interrupted growth of the termination face. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x17x12 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 32 mm.
Price: $135 (plus shipping).
