Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 40406:

Minerals Species: Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Xianghualing-Xianghuapu Mines, Hunan, China.
Description: Colorless calcite crystals with striated faces perched on remnants of matrix. The calcite crystals are flattened rhombohedral form and are internally translucent. The cluster stands upright nicely without additional support. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few edges show minute nicks upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x8x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 10-60 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
