Minerals Species: Fluorite (twinned crystals).
Location of mineral deposit: Blackdene Mine, County Durham, England.
Description: Large plate of purple fluorite crystals up to 18 mm on edge completely covering one face of the matrix. The fluorite crystals are interpenetrant twins and many have cloudy inclusions. One large crystal is chipped. Fluoresces violet under UV illumination.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 13x11x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-18 mm.
Price: $150 (plus shipping).
