Minerals Species: Fluorite with Hematite and Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Blackdene Mine, County Durham, England.
Description: Two interpenetrant-twinned translucent purple fluorite crystals with minor black hematite and colorless quartz crystals on a few faces. The fluorite fluoresces bright violet under UV illumination. One corner of the largest crystal is chipped. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #4125; ex.Grove House Gallery in 1981.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x6x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-56 mm.
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
