Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 40852:

Minerals Species: Titanite (twinned crystals) with Apatite-(CaF).
Location of mineral deposit: Smart Mine Property, Lake Clear, Ontario, Canada.
Description: Complexly twinned black titanite crystals up to 30 mm long with small translucent brown apatite crystals up to 5 mm across. The titanite crystals are twinned through the middle with fish-tail terminations and repeated throughout. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #7844; collected by F. Sopchyshyn in 1985.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 3.5x2.5x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-30 mm.
Price: $30 (plus shipping).
