Minerals Species: Hydroxylherderite.
Location of mineral deposit: Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Description: Limonite-stained prismatic hydroxylherderite crystals many exhibiting v-shaped fish-tail twinning. Though several crystals are incomplete or chipped, the large crystal size and prevalent twinning make this a notable specimen. Ex. Irenee DuPont D-748.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x5x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-4 cm.
Price: $225 (plus shipping).
