Minerals Species: Weloganite.
Location of mineral deposit: Francon Quarry, St.-Michel, Montreal Island, Québec, Canada. (*From the TYPE LOCALITY where this mineral was first described.)
Description: Many translucent yellow weloganite crystals in a shallow cavity in gray matrix. The weloganite crystals are hexagonal, di-pyramidal crystals with striated surfaces due to oscillatory growth. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Bill Plavac #371.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x6x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-14 mm.
Price: $200 (plus shipping).
