Minerals Species: Sphalerite with Ankerite.
Location of mineral deposit: Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Description: Dark sphalerite in crude crystals with overgrowth of brown ankerite and white unknown mineral, possibly aragonite. The cleavage faces of the sphalerite show yellow-brown translucency. One crystal in the center is complete and undamaged.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8.5x7x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-20 mm.
Price: $95 (plus shipping).
