Minerals Species: Corundum var. Sapphire.
Location of mineral deposit: Bibile, Monaragala District, Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon).
Description: Doubly-terminated hexagonal colorless (very pale pink color) corundum crystal with striated crystal faces and minor brown internal inclusions. The crystal faces have good luster luster with only slight alluvial wear on the edges.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 21x9x7 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 21 mm.
