Minerals Species: Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Prospect Park Quarry, Haledon, Passaic County, New Jersey.
Description: Two parallel calcite crystals with remnants of basalt on the bottom and between the crystals. The calcite is transparent and has textured crystal faces. The surfaces were cleaned with a mild acid resulting in glossy faces. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5.5x4x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-5.5 cm.
Price: $48 (plus shipping).
