Minerals Species: Almandine Garnet with Staurolite.
Location of mineral deposit: Green's Farm, Roxbury Falls, New Haven County, Connecticut.
Description: Many dark red-brown almandine garnet crystals to 15 mm with elongated brown staurolite crystals to 6 mm long in silvery schist matrix. Personally collected in 1997.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x4x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-15 mm.
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
