Minerals Species: Sphalerite with Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee.
Description: Highly lustrous translucent red-brown sphalerite crystals up to 20 mm in aggregates of parallel crystals up to 45 mm across. Many minute colorless calcite crystals coat some surfaces and a twinned 25 mm calcite crystal (cleaved tip) is in one corner.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-20 mm.
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
