Minerals Species: Almandine Garnet.
Location of mineral deposit: Mount Mica, Oxford County, Maine.
Description: Many opaque brown trapezohedral almandine garnet crystals in pegmatite matrix of albite, quartz, muscovite, and schorl tourmaline. The largest crystals are complete and nicely exposed on the top of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x5x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-25 mm.
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
