Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 41977:

Minerals Species: Apatite-(CaF) (formerly Fluorapatite) and Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Minas do Panasqueira, Covilha, Castelo Branco, Portugal.
Description: Transparent green hexagonal apatite crystals up to 15 mm across on lustrous colorless quartz crystals up to 35 mm long with sugar-like small quartz crystals overgrown on the edge of the largest apatite crystal. The apatite fluoresces yellow under UV. All crystals are complete and undamaged except one that is chipped. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #26; acquired in 1972.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x4.5x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-35 mm.
