Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 41987:

Minerals Species: Apatite-(CaF) (formerly Fluorapatite) with Muscovite.
Location of mineral deposit: Minas do Panasqueira, Covilha, Castelo Branco, Portugal.
Description: Cluster of lustrous pink-gray apatite crystals up to 20 mm across with silvery muscovite mica crystals up to 4 mm on the rear. The apatite crystals are tabular form, translucent, and have slight brown limonite staining in crevices. No damage to the crystals on the front of the specimen, but the rear shows minor damage. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #580; acquired in 1999.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x22x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-20 mm.
