Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 42184:

Minerals Species: Dioptase on Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Tsumeb Mine, Otavi-Bergland District, Oshikoto, Namibia.
Description: Lustrous emerald-green dioptase crystals to 9 mm long on colorless rhombohedral calcite crystals up to 3 mm cross on one face of matrix. The dioptase crystals are internally transparent with vivid color on all crystals. All crystals present appear complete and undamaged, but there is evidence among the many crystals that one crystal is incomplete. Ex. Robert C. Lambert #377; acquired in 2000.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x3x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5-9.0 mm.
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
