Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 42902:

Minerals Species: Sphalerite with Quartz and Chalcopyrite.
Location of mineral deposit: Krushev Dol Mine, Madan District, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria.
Description: Showy specimen of lustrous black Spinel-law twinned sphalerite crystals up to 16 mm across with transparent colorless quartz crystals up to 35 mm long growing up through the sphalerite plus a brassy metallic 8 mm chalcopyrite crystal in a crevice. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11.5x8x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-35 mm.
Price: $175 (plus shipping).
