Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 43691:

Minerals Species: Elbaite var. Rubellite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego County, California.
Description: Transparent doubly-terminated elbaite tourmaline crystal with no matrix attached. The tourmaline crystal is bright pink color and both terminations are complete. On one side is a concave contact from an intersecting crystal. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 42x15x12 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 42 mm.
Price: $325 (plus shipping).
