Minerals Species: Liddicoatite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: Alakamisy Itenina, south of Antsirabé, Fianarantsoa, Haute Matsiatra, Madagascar. (Type Locality for Liddicoatite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Polished slice of a transparent liddicoatite tourmaline crystal showing colorful internal zoning and water-worn edges due to alluvial action. The color is green with darker-green triangular banded zones and a Y-shaped pink-purple zone in the middle. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 72x61x2 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 2 mm thick slice.
Price: $800 net (plus shipping).
