Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 44538:

Minerals Species: Uvite Tourmaline.
Location of mineral deposit: Power's Farm, Pierrepont, St. Lawrence County, New York.
Description: Lustrous black uvite tourmaline crystals with minor quartz on the bottom. The largest uvite crystal has a partial fracture that does not extend through the specimen, probably due to post-crystallization deformation. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few edges show minute nicks upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen. Ex. Miller collection ca. 1900.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x6 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 6-42 mm.
Price: $325 (plus shipping).
