Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 45064:

Minerals Species: Sphalerite (iridescent) with Pyrite.
Location of mineral deposit: Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, Picher, Ottawa County, Oklahoma.
Description: Complex crystal of translucent brown sphalerite with yellow-to-pink-to-blue iridescent surfaces. Scattered throughout are cubic yellow-metallic pyrite microcrystals (not chalcopyrite as is commonly found). The crystal edges show minor chipping and wear. Ex. W. Frech (1913-1998) collection #429.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x4x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 40 mm.
Price: $25 (plus shipping).
