Minerals Species: Cuprite with Malachite on Chrysocolla.
Location of mineral deposit: Mashamba West Mine, Kolwezi District, Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire).
Description: Translucent dark-red cuprite crystals up to 10 mm across on green chrysocolla with green fibrous malachite crystals to 4 mm long on one face of matrix. The cuprite crystals have a sub-metallic luster and have smooth crystal faces. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10.5x5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm.
Price: $500 net (plus shipping).
