Minerals Species: Olmiite.
Location of mineral deposit: N'Chwaning II Mine, Kuruman District, Northern Cape Province, South Africa. (This is the Type Locality for the mineral *) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Sparkling translucent pink olmiite crystals in a spherical aggregate 17 mm diameter on manganese-rich matrix. This was collected many years ago, when it was misidentified as poldervaartite, but recent research indicates it is the new species olmiite. No damage. From my personal collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x22x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-4 mm.
Price: $600 net (plus shipping).
