Minerals Species: Spodumene var. Kunzite.
Location of mineral deposit: Khara Khul, Konar Province, Afghanistan.
Description: Elongated gem-grade bi-colored spodumene crystal with complex termination and striated prism faces. The upper third of the spodumene crystal is colorless, the lower two-thirds are kunzite, the pink gem variety of spodumene. One rear edge has a contact. Ex. Bob Holzer (1934-2009) collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 16.5x2.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 165 mm.
Price: $750 net (plus shipping).
