Minerals Species: Manganite.
Location of mineral deposit: Ilfeld, Harz Mountains, Thuringia, Germany. (Type Locality for Manganite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Large plate covered on one face with prismatic black manganite crystals. The manganite crystals have striated prism faces and flat terminations that appear to be many crystals bundled together. No damage. Collected ca. 1930..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x10x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 2-18 mm.
Price: $3500 net (plus shipping).
