Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 46470:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst-Smoky Quartz (Dauphine Law Twinned).
Location of mineral deposit: Black Cap Mountain, east of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire.
Description: Doubly-terminated transparent smoky-amethyst quartz crystals in parallel orientation. The quartz crystals have silky surface luster on the prism faces and partially etched termination faces that reveal the quartz is twinned following the Dauphine Law. Most of the crystals are complete and undamaged, but a few around the periphery are incomplete. From my personal collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7.5x5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 20-50 mm
Price: $60 (plus shipping).
