Minerals Species: Diamond (1.28 gem-grade yellow octahedral crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Ippy, northeast of Banghi (Bangui), Central African Republic.
Description: Sparkling yellow gem-grade natural diamond crystal with lustrous crystal faces and octahedral form modified with trapezohedral and dodecahedral secondary faces. Internally the diamond has no inclusions, but a few faces have subsurface cleavage flaws. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x5x4.5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 6 mm.
