Minerals Species: Hematite and Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Tessmer Farm, Chub Lake, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence County, New York.
Description: Two di-pyramidal quartz crystals (a.k.a. Cumberland-habit) to 25 mm with inclusions and partial coating of specular hematite crystals. This locality is now closed to collecting. Hard to photograph - must be seen to be appreciated. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 27x25x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-25 mm.
