Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 47042:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst.
Location of mineral deposit: Saltman Prospect, Camp Encore, Sweden, Oxford County, Maine.
Description: Several interconnected doubly-terminated purple amethyst quartz crystals with lustrous terminations. The prism faces of the amethyst are overgrown with a second generation of sugar-like quartz microcrystals. The best color is visible from the rear. No damage to the front of the specimen, but the rear shows minor damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x5x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.2-60.0 mm.
Price: $250 (plus shipping).
